City-wide entertainment will take over the Gold Coast extending from the Gold Coast’s famous venues to the sweeping beaches, and it’s not to be missed. Music, theatre, circus, dance, cabaret, visual arts, and more will be showcased throughout Festival 2018 Gold Coast, with over 1,440 artists from more than 50 countries!
During Festival 2018 Gold Coast you’ll be able to find FREE live entertainment up and down the sweeping Gold Coast coastline. Broadbeach will become one of the main hotspots during Festival 2018 Gold Coast featuring the Queensland Music Stage with a number of huge music talents including headliner Kate Miller-Heidke and Gold Coast born and bred Amy Shark, as well as Lastlings, Ella Fence, Eliza and The Delusionals. You can also expect a ferocious performance in Broadbeach by the electrifying ‘The Rite of Spring’ circus and ballet show! Furthermore, Surfers Paradise will be taken over by hot music artists Yothu Yindi and The Treaty Project, Susheela Raman, M.anifest, The Cat Empire, and Hot Dub Time Machine! Other unmissable performances in Surfers Paradise include the enchanting ‘Intimate Space’ dance performance by the Restless Dance Theatre, Giant Sing Along (featuring plenty of microphones and a huge screen the whole community can sing along to), and more. In other parts of the Gold Coast don’t miss visual arts exhibit ‘Museum of the Moon’, old-school Hip-hop group Boombox Chicks, as well as a few thrilling street performances by The Squad.
NightQuarters in Helensvale - the famous night market and live music hub - will also be hosting an exciting Festival 2018 Gold Coast program featuring a huge selection of mouthwatering food choices for everyone (The Jimbelung Space, Sunshine Food Adventures, and more) alongside performances from Force Majeure, Dancenorth, The Farm, Punchdrunk, and Jeremy Goldstein!
